Anyone who is reading this —

My name is Wes. I keep these notes for two reasons. The first is that I have been recording things off my television for a little over a year and the recordings have begun to add up. I needed somewhere to put them where I could look at them in order. The second reason is that I would like there to be a record, in case at some point I am no longer the person looking at it.

A few things about how this case file works.

I number entries because I don't trust my own memory of the order I noticed things in. When I refer to a broadcast, I quote what was said as accurately as I can. Where I have a still frame, I include it. Where I have a document, I keep it. I try not to add anything that wasn't there.

I do not know what most of this means. I want to be careful about saying I do. If anything in here sounds like a conclusion, please assume I have written it badly and check the rest.

I am not selling anything. I am not asking anyone to do anything. If you have seen any of what I have seen, you can write to me at the address inside the back cover. I read everything but I answer slowly.

One last thing. I would prefer that nothing in here is reproduced in full anywhere else. If you want to send someone these notes, send them the binder.
